Additional Shipping Options for Zone Module osCommerce Contribution

This contribution is based on the zones.php module from the 2.2MS2 milestone. It does the following 3 things:

1. Creates a secondary zone-based shipping method for express shipping (or whatever you need)
2. Price or weight based zone shipping
3. Allows you to specify a name for each shipping method that is viewed during checkout. (ie. Fedex Ground, USPS Global Priority)

To put it simply this contribution allows you to offer regular and express shipping for each zone, ie. UPS Ground and UPS 2-day Air for the United States, International ground and International express for Canada, Regular and Express for International, and so on for as many contries/zones as you like.

this contribution alters zones.php and creates a new zones2.php. If you need 3 different zone options you could create a new zones3.php and with a quick search and replace be up and running.

QuickBooks Integration osCommerce Contribution

This contribution integrated QuickBooks with osCommerce for the easy exporting of orders into QuickBooks. Features Include:

• Completely Automated matching of products between QuickBooks and osCommerce (no need to manually match products – handles matching products in osCommerce with products which are in categories in QuickBooks). Products are matched according to Product Model (osCommerce) and Item Name/Number (QuickBooks).
• Updates inventory quantities in osCommerce with quantities from QuickBooks (option not to update included). This ensures that QuickBooks is the master inventory record and allows you to sell from multiple websites and keep inventory quantities updated on all sites.
• Imports orders into QuickBooks, creates account in QuickBooks if it doesn’t exist.
• Options for different account naming formats when creating new accounts in QuickBooks (6 options).
• Sales tax configuration option.
• Invoice Memo configuration option (custom memo such as Thank You for Shopping Acme Products).
• Log file retention time is configurable.
• Ability to update values from Custom Fields in QuickBooks to product values in osCommerce.

Supertracker osCommerce Contribution

The supertracker contrib is designed to give you more information on which to base marketing decisions for your osCommerce store. I created the supertracker contrib because, although there were some contribs around that provide a more detailed who’s online tool, nothing quite gave me the information I was after.

Here is the information that is recorded for each customer arriving at your site:

referring page
referring query (so we can get at keywords used if search engine)
landing page (including query string – important for Pay Per Click campaign assessment)
arrival time
exit time
exit page
IP address
country code / country name
customer’s cart contents
Number of clicks on the site (accuracy is not 100% as this is recorded based on session ID)
Categories Viewed
Products viewed
Customer ID (if signed in)
Order ID (if order was placed)
Were products added to cart (true/false)
Did the customer Checkout (true/false)

This is an application whereby when satisfied client emails or writes you a compliment/testimonial, you as the site owner can easily show this on your website.

This script creates a side “”infobox”" which randomly picks a testimonial to show. The person viewing your site can then click the text to show the full Testimonial on a new page.
